Registered Programs - Pre-registration is required for registered programs. Register online at e-PLAY or pay in-person at one of our recreation facilities (A.F.L.C. or S.A.R.C.).
Public Tennis Courts
Aurora has many tennis courts for users to enjoy. All of our tennis courts are public courts except for McMahon Park, which is home to the Aurora Community Tennis Club and offers limited public hours.

Note: Drop-in play at all shared tennis/pickleball courts shall be on a first-come, first-served basis, utilizing the paddle method for pickleball and rotating on the hour for tennis.

Tennis Lessons
The Town of Aurora provides tennis lessons during the Spring and Summer seasons. Please view our Program Guide webpage for full details. Tennis lesson information will be shown within our Spring & Summer program guide.
- All tennis lessons take place at either the Summit Park Tennis Courts or Norm Weller Tennis Courts.
- Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking soles. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed.
Children & Teen Tennis Lessons |
Children & Teen Tennis Lessons Level 1 This program is for players with no playing experience. The emphasis is on fun, friendship, and development of fundamentals through drills and games. A great way to be introduced to the game of tennis. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking soles. Level 2 This program is for players with some playing experience but still lack consistency. Continued development of technique of the fundamentals will be emphasized through drills and games in a fun, friendly atmosphere. This level provides and opportunity to improve consistency and reinforce good technique. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking soles. Level 3 This program is for players with knowledge of the basic fundamentals, can place shots with moderate success and can sustain a baseline rally at a slow pace. Students should know the basic serve fundamentals and be able to get 50% of serves in the correct service box. Tactics will be introduced to further enhance game play. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking soles. Level 4 This program is for experienced players. This program will cover advanced techniques for spins, speed as well as tactical emphasis. Students should be able to maintain a consistent rally from the baseline at a moderate to fast speed. Students should be able to get 70% of serves in and are starting to differentiate between first and second serves. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking sole. |
Adult Tennis Lessons |
Adult Tennis Lessons Level 1.0-1.5 This program is for students with no tennis experience. The lessons will provide an introduction to stroke fundamentals, rules and scoring. Students will learn through a series of drills and games in a fun and energetic environment. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking soles. Level 1.5-2.0 This program is for students who have had a basic introduction to tennis but still need to focus on the fundamentals. Level 2.0-2.5 This program is for students with some tennis experience. Emphasis will be on improving consistency while further developing good technique. Basic tactics will be introduced through drills and games. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking soles. Level 2.5-3.0 This program is for students who know the fundamentals of all strokes and can maintain a consistent rally at a moderate pace. Level 3.0-3.5 This program is for students who can rally from the baseline at a slow to moderate speed with some consistency. Emphasis will be on improving directional control and changes in speed. Students will learn how to use both first and second serves. A combination of drills and game situations will be used in the lessons. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking soles. Level 4.0-4.5 This program is for students who are confident with their groundstrokes. They are looking to improve spin/speed on their groundstrokes as well as improve their serve and net game. More advanced tactics will be developed. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking soles. |

- 5 Aurora Heights Dr. (4 tennis courts, all courts have lines for pickleball - effective May 29)
- Norm Weller Park
- 250 McClellan Way (2 tennis courts, both courts have lines for pickleball)
- Thomas Coates Park
- 234 Mavrinac Boulevard (2 pickleball courts)
- Trent Park
- 140 Thomas Phillips Dr. (2 pickleball courts)
