Group Fitness Classes - Fees

Club Aurora is currently offering a variety of group fitness classes for all ages and fitness levels. All classes are taught at a level that is suitable for beginner, intermediate and advanced participants. Refer to class descriptions for further details.


In-Person - Class Fees

  • $9.05 per person/per class
  • $72.70 for 10 x visits

Older Adult & Youth Drop-In fee for all Classes

  • $6.97 per person/per class
  • $55.74 for 10 x visits

Group Fitness Classes - Start & End Times

Group Fitness Classes - Start & End Times

Effective Tuesday, May 21: All group fitness classes will be starting at the designated published time. Any participant who arrives after the start of the class will not be allowed to participate.

The first 5 minutes of all group fitness classes will now be dedicated as set-up time, allowing those participants waiting to get into a class, the time to set up safely and without distracting the other participants. The music and warm-up will start promptly at the 5-minute mark.

For example: The Monday Boomer ABC’s class currently runs from 10:30 a.m. to 11:25 a.m. The schedule will be updated to reflect one hour for the class, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The 10:30 a.m. to 10:35 a.m. time is dedicated to setting up equipment, and the class will commence at 10:35 a.m. (music starts, instructors running the warm-up).

Customer Service (C.S.R.) staff will follow the schedule as published and once a registered participant is late, then they will be denied entry and those drop-in participants will be allowed entry so as long as space is available, and they will have sufficient time to set-up the fitness equipment prior to the start of the music and warm-up.

In addition, effective Tuesday, May 21, members who have pre-registered for a group fitness class will now be able to pick up their admission ticket one (1) hour prior to the start of the class. Members who have not pre-registered and drop-in participants will still be required to line up for classes and will be allowed entry if space is available.

How to Register for a Drop-In Group Fitness / Aquafit Activity
  1. Visit e-PLAY and click on the Register Online button.
  2. Hover your mouse over the Programs tab and click on the Drop-in Group Fitness or Aquafit option.
  3. Find the week you would like to register for and click the Enroll Now button.
  4. You will be redirected to a summary page, showing all of the sessions programmed for the week. Click on the Enroll Now button.
  5. Using your email address and password, Sign In to your e-PLAY account.
  6. Select the participant you are registering from the drop-down menu.
  7. Select the session(s) you would like to enroll in by clicking the small checkmark to the left of the date, then scroll to the bottom to answer the required questions, before clicking on Add to Cart.
  8. Double check that your selection was correct, agree to the waiver, then click the Check Out button.
  9. Fill out your method of payment and click the Pay button to complete the transaction.

10. You will be redirected to a confirmation page, where you can choose to save a copy of your receipt or print it.

How to Cancel a Drop-In Registration

Effective Tuesday, May 21: Club Aurora will be enforcing a new group fitness class cancellation policy that will allow Club Aurora to effectively manage the amount of fitness spots that are available, allowing for members and participants to access in-person classes.

When cancelling pre-registered group fitness classes, members are required to use one (1) of the options below.

  1. Email our Customer Service team.
  2. Call our Customer Service team at 905-726-4770 or 905-841-7529. Leave a message if staff are unable to answer your call.
  3. Complete the online Class Cancellation Form.

In efforts to maximize the opportunity for fitness members and participants to participate in the Town of Aurora fitness drop-in programs, members who do not attend their pre-registered spot in a drop-in group fitness class will be contacted by the Town of Aurora by phone or email, and future re-offences may lead to membership suspension or cancellation. Those with suspended or cancelled membership will be removed from any remaining pre-registered spots where it will allow more opportunities for others to participate.

Group Fitness & Aquafitness - Class Descriptions

Aqua Fitness: Explore the dimensions of aquatic exercise. This low impact instructor-led exercise class is conducted in both shallow and deep water provides a moderate to high energy, total body conditioning workout. It is suitable to individuals 12 years of age and older with varying skill and fitness levels.

Aqua Leisure: No instructor? No problem. This is a dedicated pool time for individuals 12 years of age and older to continue to work on their Aquafitness exercises. No instructor will be available to teach a class. Drop-in fees as listed on schedule, apply for non-members. As soon as an instructor is found, this program will revert to a regular Aquafitness class.

Aqua Zumba®: Known as the Zumba® “pool party,” Aqua Zumba gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. This class takes place in our heated indoor pools. Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting, laughing, hooting, and hollering are often heard during an Aqua Zumba shallow water class. Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.

Arthritis Aquafit: This 45-minute specialty class is for people who suffer from arthritis. The objectives of recreational exercises are to reduce pain, and help maintain or increase joint mobility, muscular strength, and endurance. Please pre-register.

Boomer ABC’s (Abs, Balance & Conditioning): Geared to the baby boomer who has been exercising for a while, this fitness class will feature cardiovascular & muscle conditioning as well as core strengthening, balance and stretch work.

Boot Camp: This class will challenge you with circuit training, weight training, ball sculpting, obstacle training, running/power walking, and improved stretching techniques. Improve your strength, conditioning, agility, and balance as well as your overall fitness.

Cardio Sizzle & Chisel: A combination class of cardio activities and muscle conditioning exercises that will put a sizzle in your workout and help improve your strength and definition.

Chisel: A total body muscle conditioning class that will work your body from head to toe using a variety of equipment. Suitable for all fitness levels (previously Sculpt or Body Sculpt).

Cyclefit: Build stamina, burn fat, and strengthen your lower body. Cyclefit offers a challenge to participants from beginner to athlete. Ride your way to improved fitness.

Muscle Fusion: A fun dynamic class that combines strength, agility, balance, and core exercises to improve your functional fitness.

NIA (Neuromuscular Integrative Action): Neuromuscular Integrative Action encompasses the best of dance, martial arts, yoga and healing arts philosophies from the East and West.

Osteo Fitness: This one-hour class uses weight-bearing activities with light weight training to improve and maintain your bone density and fitness level.

PiYo®: This is a unique class designed to build strength & gain flexibility. The moves fit perfectly together to form a class filled with intense choreography that’s fun, challenging and will make you sweat. It’s about energy, power, and rhythm.

P90X: This class is a training system which highlights the principle of "muscle confusion” and complex moves (combining muscle groups). Choreographed to music, moves are timed so that participants can do as many repetitions of the move as they are capable, working at their own pace with the fun of being in a group.

RIP®: A barbell program for men and women of all ages. The routines cater to all fitness levels by keeping it simple with athletic movements such as squats, lunges, chest presses, and bicep curls.

Sunrise Yoga: Start your day out right with a good stretch and a calm mind. Gradually warm the body and awaken the mind in this energizing class. Designed with Hatha Yoga principles, this class is suitable for all fitness levels. Sunrise Yoga will give you energy and focus to last throughout your day.

Yoga Fitness: This class blends traditional Hatha yoga practice with western/modern exercise.

Yoga Fusion: Are you feeling stressed and overwhelmed? Do you want to build mental strength and bring calmness to your day? Start your morning with our Yoga Fusion class. This class will lift your mood, help you to get into better shape and improve your well-being by reducing stress and anxiety, developing more mindfulness and promoting better sleep. Fluid conscious movements, breathing exercises, physical relaxation and guided meditation will help you find more peace and focus on just a few minutes, restoring your energy for the rest of the day.

Yoga Stretch: This class is for those who want to improve their overall flexibility, relieve the day’s stress and leave feeling relaxed. This class focuses on basic stretching techniques and does not specifically follow the Hatha, Ashtanga, Iyengar or Vinyasa principles. Zumba® Fitness: This class fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow dance moves to create a dynamic work out that will blow you away!

Cyclefit Classes

All classes are now being held in the Cyclefit Studio, with a maximum capacity of 12 participants per class. We are following best practices for cleaning, sanitization and all safety protocols.

Participants must:

  • Abide by all COVID-19 procedures outlined by Town staff.
  • Participants must clean their bikes before and after use.
  • The use of clip on cycling shoes is permitted.

"Prescription to Get Active" Program

Get Active! Prescription To Get Active is a national not-for-profit corporation that uses the power of the written prescription to encourage sedentary, at-risk Canadians to become more active. They are dedicated to improving the health of Canadians by providing an impactful program and making physical activity the most powerful prescription given.

The goal of the program is to support individuals to become more active, to equip doctors and their healthcare teams with the tools to educate their patients on the importance of physical activity and to partner with recreation facilities to provide accessible spaces within all communities.
