Heat Warning for June 21 to 22

A heat warning has been issued by Environment Canada for June 21 to 22, 2022. Cool off at any of our recreation facilities or visit one of our splash pads around town.

To avoid the risk of heat related illnesses

  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day
  • Avoid spending too much time outside
  • Wear a hat when outside
  • Don’t leave children or pets in parked cars
  • Avoid intense physical activity

As part of the Regional Municipality of York’s pavilion at this year’s Collision Conference, the Town’s ‘Emerging Aurora’ campaign will feature local up and coming technology companies. Temporary Road Closure - July 1, 2022

Please note the temporary road closures on Friday, July 1 for the Canada Day Parade:

  • Yonge Street will be temporarily closed to through traffic from Henderson Drive to Orchard Heights Boulevard from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Edward Street will be closed to through traffic from Allaura Boulevard to Yonge Street from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  •  Aurora Heights Drive will be closed to through traffic from Yonge Street to Laurentide Avenue from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
