The Town of Aurora is growing! In order to plan for and accommodate this growth, the Town is reviewing and updating its Official Plan from 2010. AURORA, ON – Starting in October, the Town of Aurora will be educating residents on the residential waste limits. Aurora residents can place up to three-bags or containers for pickup every other week on regularly scheduled collection days. Central York Fire Services to expand Cost-Recovery Program.

On January 1, 2020, Central York Fire Services (CYFS) initiated a pilot program which
assisted the fire service to recover costs associated with responding to motor vehicle
collisions on municipal roadways in Aurora and Newmarket. On October 1, 2020 (CYFS)
will be expanding the cost recovery program to include more applicable services.
