Flags lowered at all Town facilities

Flags at all Town of Aurora facilities have been lowered to half-mast in honour of the late Right Honourable John Turner former Prime Minister of Canada (June 30 to September 17, 1984) who passed away on Saturday at the age of 91. Our sincere condolences to his family.

Aurora, ON – Celebrate the Colours of Fall with us at Aurora Town Park with one final concert. As the colourful leaves fall off the trees, come enjoy one last concert including live music and pumpkin carving.

As you nestle into your blanket, enjoy the live entertainment provided by Lennon Live, featuring music from John Lennon’s career. Complimentary pumpkins and carving tools are available for families to showcase their carving skills (while supplies last).

New Gathering Restrictions Effective September 19, 2020

Effective today, all unmonitored and social private gatherings in Ontario, including in York Region, are limited to 10 people for indoor gatherings and 25 people outdoor gatherings for the next 28 days.

Organizers could face fines of $10,000 and guests fines of $750. Unmonitored and private social gatherings include functions, parties, dinners, gatherings, BBQs or wedding receptions held in private residences, backyards, parks and other recreational areas.

Aurora Seniors’ Centre reopens on September 28

The Aurora Seniors’ Centre will reopen its doors on Monday, September 28 with limited capacity, modified programming and new safety protocols. Programs and activities will include fitness classes, art classes and more.
