Every year, Aurora Town Council approves the operating budget and capital budget for the next year.

The operating and capital budgets outline how the Town will use our finances to deliver services to residents. The operating budget focuses on day-to-day expenses, while the capital budget covers major infrastructure requirements.

The Town of Aurora relies on property tax dollars to fund  these services, facilities, programs and infrastructure that contribute to your quality of life. As a member of the community, it’s important that you feel informed about the Town of Aurora budget, and that you have an opportunity to share your input on what matters and what you feel are budget priorities.

There are a number of ways to share your thoughts:

  1.  Take our Survey- Our 2023 PRE-Budget community engagement survey is now OPEN. All feedback received will be reviewed by staff and will be shared with Council ahead of the 2023-2026 multi-year budget being presented this fall. All completed surveys will be entered into a draw for a $250 gift card. The winner will be announced in early July 2022.
