Town Inks Agreement with telMAX to Bring High-Speed Fibre Internet to Aurora

The Town of Aurora has signed an agreement with fibre internet provider telMAX that will see the company build a fibre optic telecommunications network across Aurora, providing residents and businesses with the opportunity to receive high-speed pure fibre internet.

Fibre internet uses fibre optic cables that are made of small fibres of glass. With this method, data is sent at the speed of light, resulting in substantially higher and more reliable internet speeds than traditional cable and DSL...







Town recognizes funding grant from Ontario Trillium Foundation for improvements to SARC pools

The Town of Aurora on Wednesday welcomed representatives from two local MPP offices and an Ontario Trillium Foundation volunteer to recognize the long-term impact of a grant that has been used to replace the pool liners for the lane and leisure pools at the Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex (SARC).

In 2021, the Town received a $236,400 Community Building Fund – Capital grant from the Government of Ontario and the Ontario Trillium Foundation for pool repairs at the SARC.

Central York Fire Services (CYFS) is proud to launch its ninth annual Stay Fire Smart campaign running now until August 31.
