The Town of Aurora is seeking community input on the most ideal location for a community reflection space. The need for a dedicated public space within Aurora was identified in 2023 by the Town’s Indigenous Relations Committee (IRC) as part of a commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.

A community reflection space is a dedicated area where members of the community can come together during difficult and tumultuous times regardless of location, cultural affiliation, and cause. It serves a place for collective reflection and paying respects to those affected by tragic events.

Feedback will be collected through an online survey at engageaurora.ca/ReflectionSpace. The goal of this survey is to identify Aurora’s community reflection space and choose between Town Hall, Lambert Willson Park, Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Park and Town Park.

The deadline to complete the online survey is April 8.
