The online portal provides a hub to apply for building permits or planning applications, pay building fees and more

The Town of Aurora has launched a new online public portal on its website that provides an easy and convenient way for contractors, residents, and businesses to apply for building permits or planning applications, check the status of applications and inspections, submit building complaints, and pay building permit fees.

“This online portal responds to the needs of our residents, businesses and contractors by eliminating time-consuming processes such as having to fill out paperwork, submitting it by email or in person, and having to follow up with staff on the status of their application,” said Aurora Mayor Tom Mrakas. “We live in a digital world and need to continue streamlining our services and provide online access to those who need it. This portal will give applicants the information they need, right at their fingertips.”

To access the CityView Portal, you must first register as a user and create an account. The online portal will provide step-by-step instructions on how to create an account, submit an application, or make a payment.

The portal can be accessed 24/7 using a web browser and the ease and functionality of the site will reduce waiting times and the in-person submission processes.
