Council endorses partnership to develop new park. On Tuesday evening, Aurora Town Council approved a concept for a new park adjacent to the planned Shining Hill subdivision that will include a multi-use artificial turf field, a playground, splash pad, full basketball court and a multi-use lit tennis/pickleball court, among other amenities.

Road construction improvements are coming to a number of roads around Town, rehabilitating pavement, curbs and sidewalks. Work is set to begin early May and continue through to mid-July.
The Town of Aurora will temporarily close Wells Street from Mosley Street to Metcalf Street every Saturday from. May 6, 2023, to October 28, 2023.
To mark Recreation and Parks Month in June (JRPM), the Town of Aurora is celebrating with a calendar full of active, healthy and fun activities, including several free drop-in programs for the community to participate in throughout the month. JRPM is an initiative aimed to increase awareness of the important benefits of recreation and parks for individuals, families and communities.
Please be advised that the Town of Aurora will be undertaking sanitary sewer installation on Edwards Street in Aurora. Trisan Construction has been contracted by the Town to install sanitary sewer on Edwards Street between Kennedy Street East and Cousins Drive.
Many exceptional Aurorans and organizations were recognized this evening at the Town of Aurora Community Recognition Awards, including Ms. Wendy Browne who was named as the 2023 Aurora Citizen of the Year.
A rolling road closure will take place on Sunday, April 23 for the St. Andrews College Church Parade.
