  • Town of Aurora to Lift Mandatory Vaccination Policy for Staff, Volunteers and Contractors on March 1

    The Town of Aurora will be lifting its COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination Policy for employees, volunteers and contractors effective March 1, 2023. The Town continues to encourage everyone to get their COVID-19 vaccine, including booster shots, to help prevent severe outcomes of the virus and to keep the entire community safe.

    The online portal provides a hub to apply for building permits or planning applications, pay building fees and more. The Town of Aurora has launched a new online public portal on its website that provides an easy and convenient way for contractors, residents, and businesses to apply for building permits or planning applications, check the status of applications and inspections, submit building complaints, and pay building permit fees.

  • Town Extends Condolences After Passing of Former Councillor Betty Pedersen

    It is with great sadness that The Town of Aurora shares news of the passing of former councillor Betty Pedersen. Betty served as a member of Council for several terms: 1978-1982, 1985-1994 and 2000-2003.

  • Town of Aurora Finalizes 2023 Municipal Budget

    Aurora Town Council approved the 2023 municipal budget on Tuesday evening, with a 3. 5 per cent increase on the tax levy, representing an increase of 2. 5 per cent to account for inflationary pressures and another 1 per cent for the long-term renewal of Town infrastructure. The increase translates to an additional $81 for the average home in Aurora.
