Sport Plan Update. Aurora Town Council received an update on the progress of the Aurora Sport Plan.

Cultural Action Plan, 2024 - 2028. Aurora Town Council approved the 2024-2028 Cultural Action Plan (CAP) which underpins the Town’s cultural planning efforts.

Food Insecurity in Aurora. Aurora Town Council received a report regarding food insecurity in Aurora and made a commitment to support the York Region Food Charter.

Active Transportation Master Plan. Aurora Town Council received a presentation on the draft Active Transportation Master Plan (ATMP) by WSP Canada Inc. , the company retained to support the development of the plan.

Town of Aurora delegation to Sweden. Aurora Town Council received a staff report regarding a delegation to Sweden in 2024, which would include a visit to Leksand, the Swedish town that Aurora has been “twinned” with since 1976.

Urban Forest Study Update. Aurora Town Council received a report with an overview of the recently updated Town of Aurora Urban Forest Study.

Town of Aurora Official Plan. Aurora Town Council adopted the Final Draft Official Plan following extensive review and public consultation.

Council Approves Heritage Permit Application for 60 Fleury Street. Aurora Town Council voted unanimously on Tuesday to approve a Heritage Application Permit that will allow a family to demolish and rebuild their home at 60 Fleury Street after a fire in January 2022 heavily damaged the original structure.

Updated Facility Allocation Policy. Aurora Town Council on Tuesday approved an updated Facility Allocation Policy that provides greater transparency and fairness for user groups and individuals who use the Town’s community spaces.
