Adjustments to council compensation. Aurora Town Council on Tuesday endorsed recommendations by staff and the Council Compensation Ad Hoc Advisory Committee to adjust the annual compensation for the role of Councillor to the 60th percentile of the market comparator group and increase the vehicle allowance.
Town to implement snow windrow pilot program for seniors and those with disabilities Aurora. Town Council on Tuesday supported a plan for staff to implement a snow windrow clearing pilot program during the 2023/2024 winter season for seniors and residents with a disability.
Town supports local rugby club, partners in development of new artificial turf field. Aurora Town Council endorsed recommendations from staff for the Town to support the Aurora Barbarians Rugby Football Club in the development of a new artificial turf sports field and club house at Sheppard’s Bush.
Council endorses partnership to develop new park. On Tuesday evening, Aurora Town Council approved a concept for a new park adjacent to the planned Shining Hill subdivision that will include a multi-use artificial turf field, a playground, splash pad, full basketball court and a multi-use lit tennis/pickleball court, among other amenities.
