Aurora Town Square – Capital Financial Summary & Grand Opening and 2025 Programming Overview. Aurora Town Council received a report on the final cost of Aurora Town Square, the Town’s largest capital project, totalling $59. 73 million.

Town Parking Lot Maintenance. Aurora Town Council approved a report with more details about the conditionally approved 2025 Capital Budget project for maintaining Town parking lots.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Status Update. Aurora Town Council approved a report on ongoing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts and 2025 objectives.

HIGH FIVE® Registered Municipality. Aurora Town Council approved a report confirming the Town’s intent to pursue HIGH FIVE® registration, demonstrating its commitment to excellence in children’s recreation and sport programming.

Mapping Recreation for Persons with Disabilities. Aurora Town Council endorsed the 2024-2029 Mapping Recreation for Persons with Disabilities Plan This plan makes Aurora one of the first municipalities in York Region to have completed a plan specific for persons with disabilities and will guide decisions on recreation programs and services for people with disabilities over the next five years.

Addition of Illumination Requests to the Town’s Flag Policy. Aurora Town Council approved adding illumination requests to the Flag Protocol and Flag Raising Policy.
