Events and festivities take place on June 30 and July 1!
The Town of Aurora offers many free activities for families to participate in as they Celebrate Canada’s Birthday.
Dance in the Park
Date - Sunday, June 30, 2024
Time - 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Location - Aurora Town Park (49 Wells Street)
Bring out your dancing shoes and kick off the Canada Day festivities with the Dance in the Park! There will be fantastic live bands, great food and the Rotary Beer Garden. Celebrate the start of Canada Day by dancing up a storm.
Canada Day – Parade
Date - Monday, July 1, 2024
Time - Starts at 10 a.m.
Location - Yonge Street
Aurora’s Canada Day Festivities will be starting with the Canada Day Parade at 10 a.m. The route will be travelling north on Yonge Street from Edward Street to Aurora Heights Drive.

Canada Day – Festivities
Date - Monday, July 1, 2024
Time - 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location - Lambert Willson Park & A.F.L.C.
It’s time to have some fun and celebrate Canada’s Birthday! Festivities include live multicultural showcase and children’s activities. Be sure to participate in our Passport Activities which include interactive activities for each Province and Territory, reflective of their history and landscape. There will also be a variety of food vendors to enjoy. Enjoy mini golf, inflatables and more!

Location - Lambert Willson Park
Enjoy back-to-back live bands, capping off with fireworks at 10 p.m.
Canada Day Community Zone
As part of Aurora’s Canada Day Festivities, local community organizations are welcome to participate in the Community Zone. The Community Zone will offer an array of interactive Canada Day activities for Aurora families to engage in. Examples might look like an obstacle course, a craft, or a trivia game, that your organization has created that engages the viewer.
Submit your Community Zone Application Form by Monday, June 10. If you would like more information, please email Sarah Reynolds.
Canada's Birthday Town
Did you know that in 1969, Aurora officially became Canada's Birthday Town? Watch the Canada’s Birthday Town documentary to learn about how this designation came to be in Aurora.
