Candidates Financial Statements

Candidates for the 2022 Municipal and School Board Elections are required to file the Form 4- Financial Statement outlining their campaign expenses. Failure to file by March 31, 2023 by 2:00 p.m. results in the Candidate being ineligible to be elected or appointed to any office to which the Municipal Act applies to until the next regular election. Section 88.23(4) and 88.29 (11) of the Municipal Elections Act requires the Clerk to make available to the public a report setting out all candidates in an election and indicating whether each candidates complied with Section 88.25 Act, or in the case of registered third party advertisers, a report setting out all registered third party candidates and whether each registered third party candidate complied with Section 88.30 of the Act. The 2022 Post-Election Accessibility Report serves to meet the legislative requirements under the Municipal Elections Act, Section 12.1 (3), that within 90 days after voting day, the Clerk shall prepare a report about the identification, removal and prevention of barriers that affect electors and candidates with disabilities.
