2026 Golf Classic!

I’m incredibly proud to share that the 2026 Aurora Mayor’s Charity Golf Classic raised over $75,000 to support our community!

Every dollar raised goes right back into Aurora, supporting local not-for-profits, community groups and individuals right here in our community.

A special shoutout to our incredible local businesses — Wicked Eats Kitchen + Bar, Piazza Italian Eatery. Mercato, Best Seat In The House, Duke’s Castle Barbershop, Saffron, Sweet Dutchess Kitchen + Café, CasaCarbone, Aurora Whiskey Society, Cigar Vault Inc., Athletify, Serpa Automotive and Slabtown Armoury — and, of course, St. Andrews Valley Golf Club for being such incredible hosts.

About the Golf Classic

Thanks to your support, we raised more than $75,000 in 2026, adding to the over $1 million contributed since this event began. These funds have directly supported outstanding organizations like Abuse Hurts, Hope House Community Hospice, the Salvation Army of York Region, and many others—helping those in our community who need it most. Your continued generosity makes a real difference, and I’m truly grateful for your support.

Both community groups and individuals can apply for funding. Both must demonstrate in their application financial hardship or a limited means to retain funds in another manner. Individual applications demonstrating financial hardship will be kept confidential. 

Community groups and individuals can apply for funding by filling out the application form. Applications from community groups should demonstrate how funding will benefit the residents of Aurora. Recipient selection is conducted throughout the year by the Town of Aurora’s Mayor’s Golf Classic Fund Committee and is based on the information provided in the application.

Applications received on or after August 2026 will be considered by the Committee in the new Term of Council. 

Successful applicants will be required to report back in any way the Committee deems appropriate regarding the utilization of funds within six (6) months of receiving funds.

Community groups and individuals can apply for upwards of $5,000 in a calendar year. Funding requests of more than $5,000 in a calendar year will not be accepted. If groups are seeking funding for a specific initiative, they can apply for a maximum of 50% of the cost of the initiative (up to $5,000). They must also demonstrate in their application how the remaining funds for the initiative will be or have been obtained. Individuals and organizations may not receive funding for more than two consecutive years.
