Waste Collection Dates Are Changing
Some waste and recycling collection schedules in Aurora will be changing as of January 1, 2018. Residents are encouraged to review the
attached map, find their street name and check to see if their collection date has changed or has stayed the same.
Not all households are affected.

Residents are encouraged to download the
My-Waste app to access waste and recycling information, set reminders and to receive notifications on important changes to waste and recycling programs. The My-Waste app can be downloaded from the App Store on your mobile device.
If you currently have the My-Waste app on your mobile device you will need to reset your new waste and recycling collection day on
January 1, 2018.

The Town of Aurora has recently signed a new contract with waste collection contractor GFL. As part of the contract the Town has realigned the collection schedule and added a new email

Curbside Giveaway Days
During Curbside Giveaway Days, Aurora residents are invited to place unwanted, gently used items clearly labelled FREE at the curb for other residents to take for their own use, free of charge. This helps divert unwanted items out of landfill.
The next curbeside giveaway days are:
Saturday, September 29 and Saturday, October 20 both between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
All uncollected items should be removed from the curb after 5 p.m.
2018 Christmas Tree Collection
2018 Christmas Tree Collection will take place during the week of
The tree cannot be larger than 6 ft (1.8 m). If it exceeds this size, the tree must be cut in two and bundled.
All decorations, lights, tinsel, nails, stands and tree bags MUST be removed to ensure collection.
Please ensure that the tree is clear of snow banks to allow for easy pick-up.

Monday May 21 - NO COLLECTION --- GFL will collect on Friday May 18
Monday August 6 - NO COLLECTION --- GFL will collect on Friday August 3
Monday September 3 – NO COLLECTION --- GFL will collect on Friday August 31
Monday October 8 – NO COLLECTION --- GFL will collect on Friday October 5
Please ensure that all your totes are out to the curb by 7:00 a.m.

Green For Life Environmental Corporation (GFL) is the Town's garbage and recycling contractor.
Over time, residents will notice that collection vehicles will bear the GFL logo and colours. Residents can expect to enjoy the same excellent customer service that they currently receive.
