Large Item Collection
Starting in 2026, large items such as furniture, mattresses and other bulky household waste will no longer be automatically picked up when placed at the curb. Instead, residents will need to schedule a pick-up directly with GFL Environmental by calling 1-866-421-5625 or emailing WasteLine@gflenv.com.
Pick-ups must be booked by Monday before 10 a.m. of your regular garbage collection week, and each household can place a maximum of five items at the curb. All items should be set out by 7 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.
This new scheduled approach is similar to the existing appliance collection program and aims to improve efficiency, reduce clutter at the curb, and provide a cleaner, more organized community.
Metal Items & Appliances
Appliances, barbecues (without propane tanks), hot water heaters, bikes, and other metal items require a booked collection.
To schedule a pickup, call GFL at 1-866-421-5625 or email WasteLine@gflenv.com.
Unscheduled metal items will not be collected.
