Aurora’s New Pet Food Bank supports Pet Owners in Need
Caring for pets can be challenging during tough financial times, and we’re here to help! Aurora’s Animal Services is committed to ensuring that pet owners don’t have to make the heartbreaking choice of giving up their furry friends due to financial hardship.
About the Pet Food Bank
The Pet Food Bank is intended to provide temporary assistance to pet owners in Aurora and East Gwillimbury. Depending on availability, we offer from one week up to one month’s worth of supplies, thanks to generous donations and partnerships with local businesses and donations for the community.
How to Access the Pet Food Bank
Pet owners who require help with pet food and supplies must fill out the online form.
Once the form is submitted, an Animal Services Officer will review the application and prepare a donation package when supplies are available.
Please note: Our Pet Food Bank is intended for families facing short-term financial difficulties and not for the permanent or long-term feeding of your pets.
How You Can Help
We’re calling on residents and businesses to donate unopened dry or canned pet food for cats, dogs, and other small animals. Drop-offs can be made at the Joint Operations Centre (229 Industrial Parkway North) Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
For businesses or individuals with larger donations, our Animal Services Officers can arrange a pick-up. Simply email us at animalservices@aurora.ca to coordinate.

Your donations don’t just help residents, they also support the Georgina Animal Shelter and Shades of Hope Wildlife Refuge and other local rescue groups.
