Town of Aurora releases Third-Party Review of May 4 Animal Services Incident

Aurora, ON – The third-party review into the May 4, 2026 Animal Services incident is now publicly available, following the completion of necessary legal redactions.

The Town will work collaboratively with its municipal partners to develop an action plan addressing the review’s recommendations and strengthening Animal Services operations to be presented to the next term of Council in the new year.

The Town is governed by the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, which imposes an obligation to protect personal information from disclosure. Personal information includes any recorded information about an identifiable individual, including names, addresses, telephone numbers, medical information, employment or educational history or any identifying number, symbol or other particular assigned to the individual. The substance of the report remains unredacted.
