Circular Materials Announces Smaller Recycling Cart Options for Aurora Residents
Starting today, Northern Six (N6) residents will have the option to exchange their new 360-Litre recycling cart for a smaller size, following community feedback and collaboration with Circular Materials, Green For Life and N6 municipal leaders. The application can be found at circularmaterials.ca/n6aurora/.
Before requesting a smaller 240-litre cart, please consider the following:
-
Bi-Weekly Collection. Recycling will move from weekly to bi-weekly collection.
-
More Accepted Materials. You can now recycle items such as beverage cups, black plastics, frozen juice cans, ice cream tubs and toothpaste tubes – meaning the volume in the cart is increasing.
-
All items must fit inside. Materials to be recycled must be inside the cart with the lid closed.
Only one cart exchange will be permitted per address. Circular Materials recommends using your 360-Litre recycling cart for at least three bi-weekly pickups (over six weeks) to understand your needs before requesting a smaller size.
Residents with a permanent or temporary physical disability that prevents them from setting out their recycling cart may qualify for assisted collection. Details are listed at circularmaterials.ca.
The new carts will be in use starting December 31, 2025. A full list of materials that can be recycled can be found at circularmaterials.ca/RecycleOntario.
