Aurora Town Square Celebrates Two Years with A Month of Culture

Community invited to experience a month of performances, workshops, exhibitions, and family-friendly programming

Aurora, ON – Two years after opening its doors, Aurora Town Square continues to bring arts, culture, and community together in the heart of downtown Aurora. This September, residents and visitors are invited to celebrate the milestone during A Month of Culture, a month-long series of performances, exhibitions, workshops, art, and community events for all ages.

"Over the past two years, Town Square has become a place where our community comes together to experience arts, culture, learning, and celebration," said Mayor Tom Mrakas. "As we mark this milestone, we also celebrate the artists, organizations, community partners, and residents who have helped shape Town Square into the vibrant destination it is today. A Month of Culture is an opportunity for everyone to discover something new, reconnect with familiar favourites, and celebrate the creativity and community spirit that make Aurora so special."

Since opening in September 2024, Aurora Town Square has become a vibrant gathering place for residents and visitors alike. Throughout the year, the space comes alive with live performances, festivals, visual arts, theatre, comedy, heritage experiences, workshops, educational opportunities, and community celebrations, creating opportunities for people of all ages to connect, learn, and be inspired.

This year's A Month of Culture showcases the diversity of Aurora's arts and cultural community through an exciting lineup of live entertainment, interactive workshops, exhibitions, and family-friendly experiences. Signature events such as Doors Open Aurora and the Multicultural Festival return alongside performances and programming presented by the Town of Aurora, the Aurora Cultural Centre, the Aurora Museum & Archives, and the Aurora Public Library.
