Aurora Hosts Rabies Vaccine and Microchip Clinic for Cats and Dogs
The Town of Aurora will host its first Rabies Vaccine and Microchip Clinic in partnership with Vets Around the Corner Community Veterinarian Program, helping pet owners protect the health and safety of their furry family members and the community.
The clinic will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mount Albert Lions Community Centre. The event is open to both cats and dogs, and no appointment is necessary.
Rabies vaccination is a critical part of responsible pet ownership and is required by law in Ontario. Vaccinating pets helps protect them from this fatal disease and reduces the risk of transmission to people and other animals. Microchipping provides a permanent form of identification, greatly increasing the chances of reuniting lost pets with their owners.
