Significant Weather Event Declared - December 28, 2025

The Corporation of The Town of Aurora declares a significant weather event due to a Freezing Rain Warning issued by Environment Canada. Freezing rain is expected to begin near midday Sunday and end early Monday morning. 

This will impact roadways, sidewalks, multi-use paths, bicycle lanes, and lane ways commencing at 10 a.m. on December 28 2025, pursuant to O.Reg 239/02.

During this time, proceed with caution and anticipate that roadways, sidewalks, multi-use paths, bicycle lanes, and lane ways may become slippery from ice. 

All transportation routes such as roadways, sidewalks, multi-use paths, bicycle lanes, and lane ways and registered windrows may take additional time to clear. 

The declaration will be in effect until further notice.
