To be eligible to vote in the next municipal election, you must be:

  • At least 18 years of age or older;
  • A Canadian citizen;
  • A resident of the Town of Aurora; or
  • An owner or tenant of property in the Town of Aurora; or
  • The spouse of an owner or tenant of property in the Town of Aurora; and
  • Not otherwise prohibited from voting in a municipal election under any law.

Use the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation's online tool, voterlookup.ca, to confirm whether you are on the preliminary list of electors for the upcoming municipal election.

The tool allows you to take an active role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date electoral information, and can be used to make updates to your information like adding a name to the voters list and/or to change your school support for electoral purposes.
