The Town of Aurora hosts a variety of courses and workshops to support the growth and development of both sport organizations and their members. To register for any of the workshops listed, email the Specialist, Sport and Community Development. 


Recreation & Healthy Active Living Leadership

High School Credit Course

There is a need for more females in leadership positions in sport including coaches, officials and administrators. Through the work of the Sport Plan, Town of Aurora is committed to supporting more females to step into those roles and are excited to launch our Recreation & Healthy Active Living Leadership high school credit course. In collaboration with ASK Online Canada, Town of Aurora will be delivering a female only hybrid (face-to-face and online) leadership course where students can obtain a grade 12 credit towards their high school diploma.


Winter 2024 Course

  • Winter 2024: February 14 to May 8, 2024

We are looking for sponsors to commit to covering a scholarship for one female youth per year over the course of 5 years. With your help, we can reach more girls in our community and give them the opportunity to succeed through enrolling in the Recreation & Healthy Active Living Leadership course. A $2,250 commitment will sponsor one girl per year for the full 5 years.
