The 2023 Women’s World Hockey Championship Pre-Tournament Game is coming to the Aurora Community Centre (ACC) on Sunday, April 2!
Team Sweden will be taking on Team Switzerland at our McAlpine Ford Arena in the ACC. Puck drop is at 2 p.m. and doors open at 12:30 p.m. Tickets now available.
In alignment with the Town of Aurora Sport Plan, we are excited to put action behind the idea that ‘If you can see it, you can be it’. Through the promotion and celebration of women and girls in sport, our local community will be invited to come together and inspire the next generation of girls in Aurora.
Sport needs more female coaches, officials and board members. Women bring a wealth of knowledge, diverse perspectives and are role models for our younger generation. We are committed to bringing our Sport Plan to life through various initiatives and activities.

When is the game? |

Where is the game? |
The game will take place at the Aurora Community Centre located at 1 Community Centre Lane, Aurora, ON L4G 7B1. The game is in the McAlpine Ford Arena. The box office is located at the doors closest to Aurora Heights Drive. |
When do the doors open on game day? |
Doors open at 12:30 p.m. We recommend arriving as early as you can to avoid lines and get the best seats as the event is general admission. |
Will there be parking available? |
Parking will be limited as we expect a sell out crowd. We encourage carpooling and dropping people off at the rink. |
Is the event accessible? |
Yes! There is an elevator in the Lincoln lobby and ramps in necessary locations to get you to your seats. There are also designated areas for accessible seating. |
Where can I find first aid at the event? |
Should the need arise, please visit the first aid booth located in the McAlpine Lincoln Arena lobby. |
Are there group discounts available? |
Yes, if you buy five tickets or more you get 10% off. |
If I am attending the game with a large group, how do we pick up our tickets? |
Please email our Sport Development Representative. |
Will my group sit together? |
Every ticket is general admission and therefore we cannot guarantee seating arrangements, and recommend arriving early to the game. |
What happens if more people want to join my group after I buy my tickets? |
If you have already bought your tickets and find more people to attend, you will have to purchase those tickets on e-PLAY again. Pease reach out to the group sales representative to let them know of the additions. |
What happens if someone in my group cancels? |
Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable. |
Where can I buy tickets? |
Tickets can be purchased in advance online, or in-person at any of the following locations:
Tickets can be purchased for $20 at the door on game day, CASH ONLY, in-person at the box office beginning at 12:30 p.m., while quantities last. |
Are there physical copies of the tickets? |
Please print off your e-PLAY receipt or show the ticket on any electronic device upon entry to the building. Wristbands will be given to all spectators. |
Do I need to purchase a ticket for my infant? |
Any infant under the age of 2 that will be sitting on a lap will not need to purchase a ticket. Please note that any child over the age of 2, and any child under the age of 2 children requiring their own seat, will need a ticket. |
Will there be concessions at the game? |
Yes, concessions will be available during the game, please do not bring any outside snacks. |
Will re-entry be permitted? |
No, re-entry will not be permitted. |
What identification will be required to prove the tickets bought online are mine? |
Any kind of identification with photo I.D. and the name that matches the name on the receipt from the online purchase. |
