Aurora's four outdoor ice pads (2 at Ada Johnson Park and 2 at Town Park) originally anticipated to open today, are unfortunately still not ready for public use.  The temperatures overnight on the weekend did not get as cold as anticipated and that coupled with sunny, milder weather has delayed the process. The ice is not solid enough for safe skating and will remain closed.  The second ice pad at Town Park is also experiencing some additional issues, which staff are working to rectify.

The warmer weather this week is not ideal, but we hope to have at least 3 of 4 rinks up and running as soon as possible.

We will provide an update when the rinks are ready for use. Updates will also be posted at: aurora.ca/skatingactivities.
