Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority will complete the cleanout and retrofit of the storm water management facility (SWM facility WC3) located at the Southeast corner of Deerhorn Crescent and Kennedy Street West.

The trail adjacent to the SWM facility will be closed off to the public with no trail access to or from Kennedy Street West for the duration of construction.

Construction will consist of removal of sediment, widening of the SWM facility pond area while maintaining its existing overall footprint, an additional armour stone berm as well as removal and replanting of native tree and shrub plantings.

Construction will commence in February and will continue for 30 working days, weather permitting and subject to other delays. Construction will take place between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday to Friday and possible Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Additional works such as vegetation planting may be extended into the spring/summer of this year.
