Explore exhibits, seminars and watch fitness demonstrations for seniors

The Town of Aurora is hosting a free Seniors’ Information and Active Living Fair for adults aged 55+. This event provides seniors with the opportunity to gather information about health services and support in the community. The fair will be held on Saturday, September 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Aurora Seniors’ Centre located at 90 John West Way.

There will be over 50 exhibitors including representatives from The Alzheimer’s Society of York Region, York Regional Police, Southlake Regional Health Centre’s Cancer Screening Program and York Region Paramedic Services.

Attendees can also sit, relax, and listen to healthy-living seminars presented by industry experts:

  • 9:20 a.m. - Fraud and Scams and Staying Safe with York Regional Police
  • 10:20 a.m. - Chiro Health and Nutrition with Dr. Dean and Dr. Tina from Elevate Chiropractic
  • 11:30 a.m. - Senior’s Transportation options in York Region with The Regional Municipality of York

There will also be a limited quantity of complimentary grab bags for attendees and a BBQ lunch by the Optimist Club of Aurora from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (while quantities last).
