CYFS Incident Report: August 31, 2020

Central York Fire Services (CYFS) was dispatched to a business in reports of an oven fire.

On arrival, crews reported smoke visible from the roof and the call was upgraded to a working fire.

The fire in the oven was quickly extinguished. Crews had to evacuate large volumes of smoke and ensure there was no fire extension.
No injuries or environmental impacts to report.

CYFS worked in collaboration with York Regional Police, York Paramedic Services and Enbridge.

Richmond Hill and East Gwillimbury provided station coverage under the mutual aid agreement.
