The Town’s COVID-19 pop-up vaccination clinic will be extended until Monday, May 31.

Aurora is hosting a pop-up COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic in partnership with the Regional Municipality of York and the Ministry of Health on May 29 and 30 and all the appointments booked up fast.

While vaccination appointments are fully booked for the first two days – an additional day has been added on Monday, May 31. The clinic will operate from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will be located at the Aurora Community Centre, 1 Community Centre Lane.

“I am excited to hear that the Ministry of Health and York Region approved our request to add an additional day to our vaccination clinic. We have seen clinics popping up in neighbouring Towns and are happy to provide Aurorans with this three-day vaccination clinic,” says Aurora Mayor Tom Mrakas.

Anyone 12 years of age and older who lives, works or attends school in the Town of Aurora is eligible to book an appointment to receive a vaccine.

Individuals 13 years of age and under require a parent or legal guardian to provide consent at the time of the vaccination. If a parent or legal guardian is unable to accompany their 12 and/or 13-year-old child to the appointment they then can complete and sign a consent form and send it with the child to the appointment.

This pop-up clinic will be located outdoors. Individuals are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and protect themselves against the sun.
