Free programs and events for teens aged 12 to 17 years of age
The Town of Aurora is dedicated to supporting teens in our community and helping them grow into successful young adults. In honour of National Youth Week, the Town of Aurora is offering a week of free activities designed to support, engage and celebrate teens aged 12 to 17.
“Teens have an important voice in our community. By providing youth in Aurora with different programming opportunities we offer a chance to foster their collaboration, leadership, social and civic engagement skills,” said Mayor Tom Mrakas.
From May 1 to 7, teens in Aurora will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun activities including: in a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, trivia night, youth open gym and basketball, mindful journaling and more. For a complete schedule of activities, please visit aurora.ca/youthevents.
All activities are free and will take place at the Aurora Family Leisure Complex, unless otherwise noted. Share your Youth Week experiences with us through social media using #AuroraYouthWk.
The Town of Aurora was recently designated as a Platinum Youth Friendly Community and joins an elite list of municipalities committed to serving its youth.
