Celebrate Family Day at Aurora’s Arctic Adventure


​Participate in free swimming, Zumba and outdoor activities.

Celebrate time together as a family by participating in free activities at Aurora’s Arctic Adventure on Monday, February 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Try out one of the many outdoor activities, whether it be skating, mini snow tubing, mini curling, mock ice fishing or body zorbs (inflatable body bubbles). Continue the adventure indoors with a free swim at the Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or join a free Zumba class at 11 a.m. at the Aurora Family Leisure Complex.

Don’t miss the Indigenous storytelling and presentation “fire and ice” excitement with the battle of the chainsaws at the Town band shell at Town Park, where professional ice carvers compete to make the perfect ice sculpture. Ice sculpting will be followed by a fire juggling show, keep your kids entertained by checking out these unique shows.

Take a break from all the action and purchase a snack and hot chocolate while enjoying the bonfire. Parking for this event is limited so carpooling and walking are encouraged. To ensure the safety of all skating participants, helmets are strongly recommended. All activities are weather permitting.
