Extension of the Interim Control By-law for the Stable Neighbourhood Study area
Aurora Town Council voted in favour of extending Interim Control By-law No. 6048-18 for an additional year from January 30, 2019 to January 30, 2020. The bylaw imposes temporary controls on the use of land, buildings or structures within certain areas of the Town. An interim control bylaw was initially enacted by Council in January 2018 to prohibit any building or structures to be built upon, enlarged or expanded beyond the provisions and regulations of the existing zoning bylaw for a period of one year. The intent of the bylaw is to allow staff and an external consultant to conduct a study to further examine the Town’s existing policy, zoning provisions and a review of the best practices undertaken by other municipalities.
