The celebration is in partnership with Chabad Aurora on December 22 at Aurora Town Hall

The Town of Aurora, in partnership with Chabad Aurora, invites residents and visitors to join us for an annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony at Aurora Town Hall on Sunday, December 22 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

This joyful celebration will begin with the lighting of the Menorah, immediately followed by a fire juggling show. The festivities continue with children’s crafts and samples of traditional foods.

When:  Sunday, December 22, 2019
              4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: Aurora Town Hall, 100 John West Way

The lighting of the Menorah is a symbol of the celebration of Chanukah, also known as the Festival of Lights. It is an eight-day Jewish holiday celebrated each year to commemorate the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem in the second century BC. The festival is observed by the lighting of the Menorah, which is the most recognizable symbol of Chanukah.
