The Town of Aurora has prepared a Sport Plan to encourage greater collaboration with community partners and make use of existing facilities over the next five years. The Sport Plan will ensure that staff and community sport organizations continue to deliver quality sports programs in the Town by focusing on developing community partnerships, public engagement and investments that will ultimately enhance sport delivery throughout the Town.
Timeline
Tuesday, March 1 – Sport Plan was presented to General Committee
Tuesday, March 8 – Sport Plan was presented to Council for Final Approval
Tuesday, March 22 – The Implementation plan was presented at General Committee and 22 tasks within the Sport Plan were subject of that approval and were to be completed over a period of five years. The services of Sport Aurora Inc. were engaged for one year to fulfill the short-term goals of the Sport Plan.
