The Town of Aurora and the Aurora Heritage Advisory Committee are hosting the 7th Doors Open Aurora event on Saturday July 14, 2012

21 sites/buildings of architectural, historic, cultural, environmental and/or social significance will open their doors to the public.

Every year, Doors Open Ontario attracts large crowds across the province. From April to October, residents and visitors are invited to discover first-hand various communities’ heritage, natural and cultural resources. Since the program was launched in 2002, nearly 4 million people have visited sites participating in this exciting initiative. Festival and Events Ontario recognized Doors Open Ontario as one of the Top 100 Ontario Festivals.

On Saturday, July 14, residents and visitors to Aurora will be given a unique opportunity to learn about places and spaces normally not open to the general public or for which an admission fee is usually charged. The event will help our community celebrate its heritage, strengthen and encourage local partnerships, stimulate tourism, and support the local economy.
