​​Residential Permits

​Under the Ontario Building Code Act, a building permit is required for the construction or alteration of any structure over 10m2 (108 sq. ft.) in area; for example, a structure with outside dimensions greater than 3.16 m x 3.16 m (10.37 ft. x 10.37 ft.). However, all structures must still comply with zoning requirements.

Site Servicing

The site servicing permit is for the installation of all storm and sanitary drains and water service from the property line up to the building. This requires a separate permit application and a completed plumbing and drain permit form. Two sets of site servicing plans and payment in accordance with the plumbing and drain fees.
