The Town of Aurora offers many activities for families to participate in as they Celebrate Canada’s Birthday. Registration forms for the Aurora’s Canada Day Parade, Aurora’s Community Zone and Aurora’s Teen Idol are currently being accepted.

This well-attend annual event is a much-anticipated day for countless spectators and a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to get involved with the community.
Show your Aurora spirit and Canadian pride and register your marching band, float or walking group today! Deadline to register is Friday, June 23, 2017.

Aurora’s Community Zone
Aurora’s Canada Day Festivities will be taking place on Saturday, July 1 in Lambert Willson Park. The festivities will be from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. There will be an area for community groups to participate from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is no cost to participate, but community groups would have to provide an interactive activity for the community. The deadline to register is Friday, June 16, 2017.

Aurora’s Teen Idol
Are you between the ages of 12 and 17 and a resident of Aurora? Then you could be Aurora’s next Teen Idol. This annual competition is a great opportunity for budding artists.
For the audition round, each participant will prepare one song which they will perform in front of three judges. They can choose any song of their choice. The auditions will be taking placein June of each year. When you register to participate, more details, including the audition location will be sent to you.
The judges will be choosing eight semi-finalists which will perform one more time on Canada Day in Lambert Willson Park. Not only will these eight semi-finalists get to perform on the Canada Day stage, but each semi-finalist will also be invited to perform the national anthem at the beginning of one of the Concerts in the Park during the summer.

Canada Day Car Show
Once again, the Aurora Car Club will be hosting the Canada Day Car Show at Lambert Willson Park on July 1 as part of Aurora’s Canada Day Festivities!
If you have a classic or custom vehicle that you would like to share, please fill out an application and submit it as soon as possible. The first 50 vehicles to register will receive a goodie bag and Lunch Coupons!
The deadline to register is June 23, 2017.
