Grass clippings are not collected in Aurora's curbside yard waste program.

Alternatively, you can compost your own clippings by using a backyard composter. Backyard composters are available for purchase for $35 at the Operations works yard at 229 Industrial Parkway N.

Grass clippings can also be disposed of at both Georgina Waste Transfer Station and the Bloomington Yard Waste Depot.

The following items are not included in Aurora's curbside Yard Waste program:

  • Kitchen scraps
  • Rocks
  • Dirt
  • Sod
  • Tree stumps
  • Flower pots/trays
  • Treated wood
  • Animal droppings

The Town of Aurora will not pick up leaves that have been raked or piled along roads. Loose piles of leaves present a traffic, drainage, and safety hazard. In addition, leaves can block culverts and roadside catch basins, and may cause flooding. Please help to keep these areas free of excess leaves.

Please refer to the Town of Aurora's Waste Management Guide and Recycling Calendar for your pickup day.
